Why did my Karta Digital Gift Card decline?

Transaction declines can happen for several reasons, before contacting Customer Support, please check the following:


1. Check the balance of the Karta Digital Gift Card in the Karta Gift Card mobile App to ensure enough funds are available to complete the purchase

2. Check if the merchant has added a surcharge for the payment. This may cause the purchase amount to be greater than the value available on the card

3. Check the merchant accepts Mastercard Prepaid products and is putting the payment through like a debit/credit transaction


If you have checked the above and are still receiving a decline, please get in touch with the Karta support team by emailing us at [email protected]. 


Please do not include any sensitive card details when contacting Customer Support. The most useful piece of information to be provided is the 'Card ID' which can be found at the bottom of the 'Card Details' screen.
