Why did my Karta Digital Gift Card decline?

Transaction declines can happen for several reasons. before contacting Customer Support, please check the following:


1. Please ensure you are entering your Karta Digital Gift Card using the Payment Card option instead of using it as a Gift Card. Karta Gift Cards are Prepaid Mastercard products that work like a bank debit or credit card

2. Check the balance of the Karta Digital Gift Card in the Karta Gift Card mobile App to ensure enough funds are available to complete the purchase

3. Check if the merchant has added a surcharge for the payment. This may cause the purchase amount to be greater than the value available on the card



If you have checked the above and are still receiving a decline, please get in touch with the Karta support team by emailing us at support@karta.com.au. 


Please do not include any sensitive card details when contacting Customer Support. The most useful piece of information to be provided is the 'Card ID', which can be found at the bottom of the 'Card Details' screen.
