How do I use my Karta Digital Gift Card?

Karta Gift Digital Cards are not like traditional Gift Card vouchers. They are designed to be used just like your regular bank debit or credit cards via Apple Pay or Google Pay, or online via manual entry of the Gift Card card details in Australia only.

In-Store Purchases

To enable in-store purchases the Karta Digital Gift Card must be in your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. 

When making a purchase in-store simply open either your Apple Pay or Google Pay and hold your device to the point-of-sale terminal.

If the value of your transactions exceeds the value of your Gift Card, you can either ask the cashier to split the payment or where possible select the option on the available digital screen (e.g. self service in Woolworths or Coles). This will allow you to use the balance of your Gift Card before paying any remainder value with another card.

Please note to check any surcharges that are added to the total value before tapping your device as these could exceed the value of the Gift Card, leading to an insufficient funds delcine.

Online / Over The Phone Purchases

To enable online or over-the-phone purchases you'll need to access your Karta Digital Gift Card's card details in your Karta Mobile App account. The Gift Card card details displayed include the 16-digit PAN, expiry date and 3-digit CVV.

You can find your Karta Digital Gift Card card details by following the below steps:

1. Log in to your Karta Mobile App account via the Karta Mobile app
2. Find your Gift Card and click the 'Card Details' button underneath it
3. Click on the 'Reveal card details' button

Please note that online payment systems may not allow for split payments, meaning that if the total of your transactions exceeds the value of your Gift Card, you may not be able to use it to complete the payment.
