Physical Karta Gift Cards contain an NFC chip. To read this NFC chip a recipient's device must contain an NFC reader, and must be turned on in the device's settings. The SafeToBuy customer experience utilises Apple’s App Clip and Android’s Instant App technologies to deliver the experience.
Below are the minimum operating system requirements:
Apple Devices: iOS 13 and up
Android Devices: Android 6 and up
If your device isn’t NFC compatible you are still able to use your physical Karta Gift Card in-store. If you need to check your balance, please reach out to support@karta.com.au.
