Converting a physical Karta Gift Card into a digital Karta Gift Card is part of the registration process.

Registering your physical Karta Gift Card is done with your mobile device, and as

To do this on an Apple device, follow the below steps:

1. Hold your physical Karta Gift Card to the back of your unlocked mobile device where the NFC reader is

2. Once the NFC reader has read the Gift Card a pop-up will appear from the bottom of the screen

3. Click the 'Open' button to load Karta's SafeToBuy experience

4. Once the app has loaded, you'll be presented with a screen that includes an image of your physical Karta Gift Card, the balance of the Karta Gift Card and a button to register

5. Click the 'Register' button to begin registration

6. Enter your mobile #

7. Enter your details and select the options below

8. Enter the one-time password (6-digit numerical code) sent to you via SMS

9. Add your new digital Karta Gift Card to your Apple Wallet by pressing the 'Add to Apple Wallet' button

To do this on an Android device, follow the below steps:

1. Hold your physical Karta Gift Card to the back of your unlocked mobile device where the NFC reader is

2. Once the NFC reader has read the Gift Card a new browser window will appear

3. Click the 'Open' button to load Karta's SafeToBuy experience

4. Once the app has loaded, you'll be presented with a screen that includes an image of your physical Karta Gift Card, the balance of the Karta Gift Card and a button to register

5. Click the 'Register' button to begin registration

6. Enter your mobile #

7. Enter your details and select the options below

8. Enter the one-time password (6-digit numerical code) sent to you via SMS

9. Add your new digital Karta Gift Card to your Apple Wallet by pressing the 'Add to G Pay' button

Please note once the Karta Gift Card has been added to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, we recommend you download the Karta Gift Card mobile app. You can log in with your mobile # and see your digital Karta Gift Card there.

This gives you two options to check your balance, either by holding the physical Karta Gift Card to the back of your device or going into the Karta Gift Card app directly.
